Help someone
How to check in on someone, and what to do if you're worried about suicide.
Noticing that someone at the club doesn't seem themselves can be a bit unsettling. It might be a playing partner, a member of staff or a volunteer. You might not be sure whether to say anything, or what to say if you do.
This section helps with that. You don't need any training, and you don't need to have the answers. Most of the time, it starts with a friendly chat.

Checking in on someone who turns out to be fine does no harm.
Your club may have someone who can help.
If your club has a Mental Health Lead or welfare officer, they can help you with what to do next.
Look after yourself too.
Supporting someone can take it out of you, so talk to someone you trust if you need to.
